Shintai Stack Boho
In a Zen garden, Shintai stones are horizontal and flat and represent water but also the mind and the body. These stones harmonize the rock groupings. It is said that, in Buddhism, this practice of stacking stones is a form of worshipping – but it can also be a gesture of asking or wishing for good fortune to be bestowed on the stacker and his family. Each stone within the stack represents a particular wish and, possibly, a particular family member.
This boho piece was inspired by seeing stacked stones in various temples and gardens in my travels. A graduated stack of faceted labradorite beads hang below an open circle with a long silky blue tassel cascading like water from the base
