Celtic Triskele Knot

This beautiful sterling silver & gold pendant is based on two ancient Celtic symbols

First, the trinity knot or triquetra: a representation of the triple deities in gold. The Great Mother, a lunar goddess the Celts worshipped which was associated with three phases of the moon. When used with a circle around it, it represents unity in spirit. The circle, provides protection to ensure the spirit does not get broken

It has been used to represent many different concepts throughout time – mind, body and soul; past, present and future; life, death and rebirth; creation, preservation and destruction; Father, Son and Holy Ghost; thought, feeling and emotion; earth, air and water. It is also used to symbolize eternity and equality.

Secondly the spiral arms of the silver Triskele are interwoven with the knot

The triskele is thought to represent motion as all three arms are positioned to make it appear as if it is moving outwards from its center. Movement, or motion, is believed to signify energies, in particular within this Celtic Symbol the motion of action, cycles, progress, revolution and competition.

The pendant is approx 40mm in diameter all sterling silver with the trinity knot in gold.  The chain is a silver plated cable available in a variety of lengths.

Will be shipped in a white gift box stamped with the Red Mare Studios logo

Each pendant is handmade and some natural variations will occur which only adds to its charm.
